No time

Certainly not the person I once was or long to be. I've lost myself in the daily grind of working. I've been working nights for what seems like forever. All I'm able to do is work and sleep. I long for the days when I was able to be creative and truly serve my family. You know...like cook and keep the laundry up. It has always been important to us to eat family meals around the dining table several times a week. We are down to eating together on Sundays.
I used to quilt. I've been talking about making everyone stockings for years but, no time.
I used to rubber stamp. I would love to make our Christmas cards like I once did. No time.
I used to cook home made, from scratch meals. Now I can't even seem to get a grocery list together. Last week I carried our grocery money around the whole week. Never did go shopping. No time.
There is so much I long to do this holiday season. I love to create memories. I want to make cut out cookies and decorate them all fancy. I want to make gifts of food and deliver them with a smile and a hug to important people in our lives.
The desire of my heart is to just be a wife and mom. I'm tired of the corporate life where the all mighty dollar reigns supreme. The cut throat atmosphere where people have no regard for others. I'm just tired.

Oh, what a weekend

I spent all day yesterday on the couch. My energy level was at an all time low. I feel a little less lethargic today but my tummy has decided to give me fits. I had such great aspirations for this weekend. I was going to finish painting the kitchen, pantry and bathroom. I'm tired of having all the painting supplies in the living room. I overslept this morning as well. No time to get ready for church. Not that my tummy would behave enough for church. I will try to get some laundry done today since having towels to bathe with are fairly important. Clothes for work are pretty high on the list of importance, too. ttfn

Party

Micah and I went to DeLana's birthday party at Zentner's last night. We had great fun. It was nice to visit with Sarah, Kylah and Rhonda. DeLana looked gorgeous as always. She is such a special lady!
I've started a new hobby. I don't have time to quilt or stamp so I came across this blog called Between Naps on the Porch. Every Thursday there is a "party" hosted by the blog owner. It is called Tablescape Thursday. We get out our dishes and play. After we get our tablescape done we post it for others to see and comment on. I really enjoy it and it gives me a bit of a creative outlet that the family can enjoy as well.
Mr. Corbin is asleep but when he wakes up Micah and I are headed out to get pedicures and some groceries.

What a week

Micah and Corbin are finally here. It was a hectic and hard week. Lots of cleaning out and moving items to make room for them. It is done now. Micheal is in Nashville for the night and will head out on the final leg of his journey home in the morning.

mixed emotions

Wow, all I could think of from the time I wake up this morning was how Brandon is feeling. I remember how it was when we went to Guam, excited but scary due to the unkown. I can't imagine how hard it must be to do it alone. Afghanistan is a long way away. Please pray for him.
We are excited about Micah and Corbin's arrival on the 5th. I'm really going to have to kick it in to high gear to get her room ready. Good thing I'm off on Friday.

Busy Weekend

We had a busy time this weekend. Had to find a stopping point for our painting project so we could tackle 2 graduations. It all went off wonderfully. We are so proud of Mackenzie. He is an exceptional young man. I'll get some pictgures posted sometime this week. After Kenzie's ceremony we were honored to attend Kim's. We also met her father for the first time. He was very nice and we hope to get to know him better. Kenzie and Kim have been dating for 1 year tomorrow. Hmmmm, that's a record. More on that later. It's bed time and I'm headed to it. Night.

What's happening

I am way overdue for a post. We've been busy at Mullin's Corner. Graduation is in just a few weeks, Micah and Corbin will be here in July so we need to get her room back in order since Mom & I had taken it over with quilting and stamping projects. What else??? Micheal is working PT at the Red Ball taxi service. It is tiring but kinda fun and the Lord has certainly blessed us with it financially. I ride with him and play secretary. It provides us with extra income as we attack our bills with gazelle intensity (Dave Ramsey...if you son't know about his Financial Peace program you should check out daveramsey.com)and still allows us to be together. A plus is that the company is Christian owned and we used to go to church with the owner over at Cross Roads. Well, break is over so I better get back to work.

I'm here

It's been FOREVER since I've posted but 'm here plugging along. Life is so busy with Block and our trip to Dallas to see the Stars play (Thanks Kenzie!!!) and Micah and Corbin surprised me by flying in for a week and lots of classes starting at Sitel. Anyway I will try to get some pics uploaded this weekend. Tonight we are having the boys from youth camp out at our place....we're gonna scare the poo out of them! He he!! Can't wait.

struggling

I'm really struggling with training people to do something I don't believe is right. For me personally I could not sit on a phone and tell a customer that they should use their credit card for all purchases. Gas, groceries, utilities...everyday expenses. But that is what I am suppose to train in my classes. Sure, if that happens to be a customer who pays their card in full each month and never accrues interest it would be okay. But,the majority of the customers do not; therefore, I would be suggesting to them to go further in debt. That's just wrong and I feel such conviction everytime I have to train it.
I need my job, though.

Random thoughts for the new year...

-Well it is back to work tomorrow. Can't say I'm excited. I've enjoyed being home. I miss the kids terribly and would love to be able to walk the floor with little "Mister". It will have to wait until March.
-I've been lax with my Weight Watchers since mid November when I went to Maryland. It is time to get back serious. Also haven't ran in quite awhile. Must get back with it.
-H&R Block is starting back up and that will keep me busy on Tue & Thur nights as well as Sun after church. It will fund our trip to Mississippi in March, so that is a good thing. I just have to work at keeping my stress level down. Working FT and doing Block PT really drains me. I know...I'm a wimp.
-We are reviewing our FPU cd's and getting serious about becoming debt free. I don't want to work until I'm 70 so the answer to that dilema is to have no debt. Woo Hoo! We'll be listening t Dave Ramsey every morning on our way to work. On KGKL 960 AM
-Man it's cold. I'd love to build a fire but we have no firewood. We live on 20 acres most of which is mesquite but we have no firewood. Go figure. Seems the chainsaw has died. Anyone out there have a chainsaw? How about a barter of using your chainsaw for some wood???
-Think I'll go take a hot bubble bath and call Tracy Lynn.
